Welcome to My Home Page. This is my Project and for those following it This is my new page. So much has gone on over the past year, so many change to the car. I am just making a hole new page too show everyone everything! The turbo Is finally installed and with that I have lots of tuning and time at the track to make this car reach its goal of 10.99 in the 1/4 mile track. I Also still Need a few More Mods and a 12 bolt Rear end, for now I'm rebuilding the 10 bolt with a Eaton and 3.42 gears. The Car has under gone Other moding and it now has a Sage II Rossler 4L60E Tranny supporting the power, mated with a 3800 Vigilant stall. This Web site is dedicated to my 1997 3.8L V6 A4 Camaro. I purchased this car in September of 2001, and during a unlucky encounter with black ice in December of 2001 I spun out going 25 MPH on a bridge, damaging the front and rear bumpers. While the car was in for repairs I had it painted the way you see it now. The Black stripes Are the factory Paint they were taped off and the yellow was painted, then the whole car got fresh clear coat so it would be even. |
| THE MOD "FEVER"
A friend in my high school class had told me a few thing to get a little more power out of my V6, this lead to the exhaust and intake mods. Along with minor tune up items. Then one day surfing the net I found a few web sites dedicated to the Camaro V6. From there the "fever" hit me hard. but my pockets were empty.
In July of 2002 I shipped out for 6 years in the USAF. After basic and tech school I got orders for Aviano, Italy. Finally in Nov 2003 I was Deployed to Balad, Iraq. And it just so happens a small company was offering a Turbo kit group purchase for my car now, and at almost half the price of the supercharger kits. So I found every part I could for the car. This ended up taking me to the cars current mods. Fully rebuilt motor with lower compression ratio forged pistons from the stock 9.4:1 to 8.5:1, as big a Camshaft as the heads would allow and of course P/P heads. Finally the Turbo kit. To support the added power I also found a rear end out of a Z28 witch gave me LSD and upgraded to rear disk brakes for better stopping power and more so it looks A lot better. Also found a used LS1 drive shaft to replace the Stock 2 piece. There is a lot more stuff I have done please check the full list on the MOD page. |
